Manchester United had 10 minutes of fury to beat Southampton

From almost 0-1 to 2-0 in 10 minutes, this is how Manchester United beat Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium, in the Premier League.

It was not a great first half for Erik Ten Hag’s team, nor did they dominate their rival, but they did have more of the ball and were encouraged to try the goal so many times as to make Aaron Ramsdale a figure of that period. But we had to wait more than half an hour for the game to get interesting: at 31, Diogo Dalot committed an unnecessary foul on Tyler Dibling in the area and the judge gave Soton a penalty. Cameron Archer took charge of the shot, but André Onana saved United by making a save. And that seems to have served as the boost the Red Devils needed. Just three minutes later, Bruno’s precise cross arrived for Matthijs de Ligt to make it 1-0. And the visitors became even more emboldened, that’s why, before halftime, at 41, from the passed corner, Dalot returned it back to Marcus Rashford, who took a corner shot, somewhat deflected into rival legs, which caught Ramsdale covered and without chances of avoiding 2-0.
