Iga Swiatek will compete at the Korea Open from 16 September in Seoul, looking to regain her form after her US Open quarterfinals exit. After that, she will be competing at the China Open in Beijing. Swiatek won the WTA 1000 event in 2023 after her Round of 16 defeat to Jelena Ostapenko at the US Open. After that, she will also be competing at another WTA 1000 event at the Dongfeng Voyah Wuhan Open.
Iga Swiatek boasts an 89% win rate in 2024 with her best performances coming on the clay courts. Regarding her schedule for the rest of the year, after the US Open, Swiatek is looking at a busy remainder. Swiatek’s team has confirmed that she will return to compete in Seoul on the WTA Tour.
After her exit from the US Open, Swiatek stated that she does not want to take a considerable break and return to action as soon as possible.
“I don’t want to take a break. It’s tough. It could be a little bit easier, but I’m keeping up with the schedule. I’m only talking about mandatory tournaments, and there are rules about them. But I’m ready to play till November, I guess unless I’m going to get injured.
