Elena Rybakina’s ex-coach and Slam semifinalist brutally rips into Iga Swiatek
Elena Rybakina’s ex-coach Andrei Chesnokov has offered a shockingly brutal criticism of Iga Swiatek as the former Russian tennis player has described the Pole as self-centered and declared her “the only tennis player I don’t like.”
Over the last month, world No. 1 Swiatek has been a couple of times been harshly criticized. After Danielle Collins retired their Paris Olympics quarterfinal match due to an abdominal injury, she approached the 23-year-old to tell her she was “insincere” and that there was no need for “fakeness.
And the next case of that happening occurred in mid-August when Swiatek complained about the tennis calendar being too demanding. Reacting to that, former two-time Grand Slam champion Yevgeny Kafelnikov slammed Swiatek by saying “all you fricking do is complain” before adding that she should be paid less.

Now, Chesnokov – a 1989 French Open semifinalist and a former world No. 9 – is unloading at Swiatek because he thinks the the five-time Grand Slam champion is not someone who acknowledges opponents after her losses.
