Andy Murray shows true colours with gesture to heartbroken Welsh boxer

The Paris Olympics was an emotional time for Andy Murray as the tennis legend brought down the curtain on his incredible career.

The 37-year-old appeared on a court for the very last time as he bowed out alongside Dan Evans in the quarter-finals of the men’s doubles at Roland Garros. While he fell short of winning a fourth Olympic medal, his performances were still one of the stories of the Games, having undergone surgery on his spine just weeks earlier.

But amid all the emotion and press attention, Murray still had time to show the kind heartedness and generosity that has made him one of Britain’s best-loved athletes as he made a touching gesture to a heartbroken Welsh athlete.
